Ice crystals are effective, tested one day below 46.4°F, two days still above 50°F without power. Overall good, personally a bit large, would be better with a temperature display. Added my own thermometer, accessory storage needs to be prepared by oneself, a portable bag for accessories would be an improvement.

For shorter trips, I might try using ice, as it maintains 0°C, though ice crystals are less predictable. It’s larger than expected and won’t fit in car thermos holders or backpack side pockets.
